Ewert just shy of 12k about 2 minutes back from Stevens.
Corvera clocking around 4:40 a lap, continues to press forward in 3rd place.
Melville drops a slow lap and is in 4th place.

Approaching 12km, Stevens continued walking at a 4:45 clip. Only 8 laps to reaching her dream.
Gruttadauro slowed to 50km pace, walking around 5 min / km.
Christie dropped 13 laps into the books and was haning around 4:45 a lap not giving much room to be caught.
Still, 7 laps can be an eternity in the race walk.

Ewert's laps are slowing and she's risking losing her position on the podium as Melville is now walking laps faster than she is.
Michta-Coffey found her groove at just over 5 minutes a lap allowing her to pull away from Ewert and hopefully secure 2nd place.
At this point, for those hurting like Corvera, any lap finished is a victory.
Ewert needed the laps to go by before she ran out of gas.
