How to Race

After all the hard work, now you are almost ready to race. You’re probably feeling a bit nervous, but that is completely normal. The only time you might not feel some nervousness is when you do not care about the race. So, treat a slight case of bad nerves as a friendly reminder that you are prepared to accomplish the goals you set so long ago.

Racing should be fun, at least early in the race. However, a good race does take thorough planning. With careful preparation, you can avoid many unexpected problems. But planning cannot start the day before the race; it must start weeks before. The first preparation is one that few people consider seriously: mental training.
