In the words of Monty Python and now for something completely different. We hope to have a traditional photo story up soon, but as I have shifted to judging, I couldn't take the photos or video. Instead, I had Tim Seaman's athlete Hanna Running operate the cameras. Here are high speed, 240 fps, video of many of the elite walkers.

if you are unfamiliar with elite race walking. The definition states that you must maintain contact with the ground as seen by the human eye. The threshold for visible loss of contact is at least 40 milliseconds or 10 frames with the camera we shot with.
