Our club was a low key race walking club that met every Wednesday night in Philadelphia at Lloyd Hall (the first boathouse in Fairmount Park). Typically we met at 5:00 PM to walk 5. The 5 at 5 has become a standard and attracts walkers of all skill levels. While some of us raced, others just walked for fitness. Instruction was free, so was membership. At this point most of the club was dispursed. However, I am still in the area, email or call me if you are interested in race walking and I'll see what I can do for you.
