As the heat of the day bears down and the pace quickens Borchin establishes his dominance. Walking an impressive 19:29 split from 10K to 15K, he absolutely demolished the field dropping a 19:12 last 5K. Without the likes of the now retired Jefferson Perez, no one could challenge him. While Wang stayed with him for a bit, Wang's last 5K of 19:37 was no match for Borchin. The battle was then for who would stand on the podium with them.
